The AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) is a federally funded program established in 1988 through and agreement with New York University. On 1991, it became and independent AETC serving health care professionals in Puerto Rico.  In 2002 it became part of the Florida/Caribbean AETC and since September 1, 2015 it became part of the Northeast/Caribbean AETC through and agreement with Columbia University at New York.

 

The AIDS Education and Training Center conducts targeted, multi-disciplinary education and training programs and capacity building assistance for healthcare providers and systems treating persons living with HIV/AIDS.  Our mission is to improve the health outcomes of persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) along the HIV Care Continuum and strengthen the health care delivery system through the design, delivery and evaluation of training, education and technical assistance for health care providers and organizations.
